Hi Everyone, This is a bush that I saw in a treed area near my home in north Florida. Its really a very interesting bush, with the purple berries on it. Can anyone tell me anything about the plant? Sure is strange looking isn't it?
Help me Identify...
Sure. It's common name is Beautyberry. Botanical name is Callicarpa_americana. It can be grown easily from seeds or cuttings. Birds will eat the berries eventually. It is a native plant.
Thanks edfinney! I have to look into it for my back yard. Its just so pretty and very interesting.
