I finally found this plant. Here is the thread I started: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/545257/
Has anyone started cuttings from it before and which is the best way to do it?
Thanks!
:) Donna
Where do you take Mednilla speciosa cuttings?
Hi Donna. I did do a few cuttings a few years ago. I did it in May/June in a warm/humid greenhouse with bottom heat. I'd say wait until next year for cuttings. The method described sounds good and I'm also wondering if you could do air-layering now. That way you wouldn't be trimming it back and taking the chance of losing a piece. They really need that warm/high humidity with strong light. Here it seems a bit gloomy in the winter for them. Good Luck!
Thanks, growin. Pam did find some great instructions. I never thought of doing the airlayering. That sounds like a good thing to do to.
:) Donna
