I could not decide whether to post this in the "propagation" forum or here but I decided on "tropicals" since this forum seems to be more active. I want to root some Senna corymbosa and Callistemon 'Woodlander's Hardy Red' to give away this fall. So far I have not had much luck. Are there any special tricks to rooting either of these and should I be using green or woody cuttings? I have tried both ways (green and woody) with 50/50 potting mix and perlite, cuttings dipped in rooting hormone powder, but so far they have not taken.
Here's a picture of Senna corymbosa today...
Need advice on rooting Senna and Callistemon
