I have a giant radish, I had three ate two, if I suffer and let this last one go to seed, will the seed be good? these are huge and delicious, so want to eat it if I can't get seeds from it. anyone know? thank you carol
Will a lone radish procuce viable seeds?
I searched the Net and found conflicting info, but as long as your radish sets pods, you should get viable seeds. Radishes don't outcross with anything but other radishes, but if you had any wildlings or other varieties blooming nearby, you may have some interesting surprises next spring. The only real problem you might run into is getting the stalk to mature before a hard freeze.
