I have an existing Sharpblue blueberry and have purchased a Climax blueberry plant. Now I discover they are different species, virgatum and ashei. Will they cross pollinate, or do I need to get another one of each species? My sharpblue did fairly well all by itself this season, but one bush is not enough to keep me in berries. I am in zone 10, in CA.

Cross pollination?
Nevermind. I found the answer at a Florida website. They don't cross pollinate, so I'll either have to get another cultivar of each, or let my Sharpblue go it on its own and get another ashei cultivar to go with the Climax.
