Can you grow agapanthus from seeds or must they be divided?
Agapanthus
the little n odules at the end of thed bracts on the flower head are seed pods... just let one of the flowers die and mature on the plant, and the little three-lobed things are pods, break them, open and get the seeds.
YES, they can be grown from seeds. I am told they take about 5 years to bloom from seed. I started some last year from seed and they are quite large already - I'm waiting to see how long they take to bloom!
