About 25 years ago, someone gave me small trees that he called Japanese Peach. It was a small peach tree that grew to about 15 feet or so, had small, sweet fruit a bit larger than a golf ball and dark red foliage like a Japanese Maple. The seeds sprout readily from dropped fruit .
I've long since moved and am wondering about planting these in my garden in the Northern Adirondacks. I'm wondering if anyone has any info about this tree, especially hardiness. I haven't been able to find any sources for it and suspect it might go by another name.
Any info or a source would be appreciated.
