Grrrr!

Someone weed-whacked my (I think) London Asiatic! Would these little guys be the bulbs?

I was wondering why I wasn't getting a bug showing this year. Guess I can stop wondering now... (Don't even mention the Painted Lady Runner Bean!)

Oh, Sequee, I sympathize with you for sure! I am forever watching with a hawk's eye when the weed whacker comes out, and usually I'm the loser!

But what a pretty pic of your lily... (-:

It looks like part of the flower stem (to the left) with some stem roots still attached. This would be the part above the bulb. The small white bulblets to the right appear to be stem rooting bulblets which have been dug with the stem. My guess is that you have not dug deep enough and have not reached the main bulb yet. You can plant the bulblets (they will grow and flower in a few years) but the bulb itself is probably still in the ground.

Well, at least I got a few, and they'll be back next year for sure! (That's what I get for asking my carpenter to help out with yard work! LOL!)
