I got 3 begoinas today-- very nice but the one is in desprete need of cutting -- how do/ can I root the cuttings and how? Water, hormone, something else?

Heather, sorry I missed seeing your post sooner! I've rooted angelwing begonia cuttings pretty easily in water. I would think these would work the same way, although I would cut off any flowers or buds on the cuttings. You've probably already rooted & potted up these cuttings, LOL!
I did the rooting hormone and straight into soil -- they aren't dead yet.. we'll see...
I just posted regarding this a few minutes ago. I took 3 leaf cuttings from Tuberous Begonias, stuck them in water (no compound) and they started roots. When the roots got decent size, I put them in dirt. I now have a beautiful pot of flowering Begonias. It took most of the winter to get blossoms.
