Those look great, Red! Which cultivar are they... or do you just have a very nice grocery store nearby?! ;-)

No more buying 'taters at the store for me, Donna, they just don't have any taste. These are the same as I raised last year, Kennebec's.

Hope we get some rain soon, it's really dry and the 'taters are showing it.

I was wondering if they were Kennebecs when I posted my flippant comment, but for some reason I thought they would be red-skinned. Perhaps it was just in name association. :)

Ya'll have really had a funky spell with too much rain early on and, from the sounds of it, not enough now. We're on the verge of our own dry period now, as occurs up here in the arid Inland Northwest, but have been fortunate in its delay this year.

Yum, Red. We had some potatoes last night too (yellow fleshed cultivar called Carola) and I was surprised how flavorful they were.

Next year we'll try more than one kind. Those look delicious.
