Anyone ever notice the web site address extension for this forum is yumyum? I just noticed and I think its very clever! Now I am going to go through each of the others just to see if there are more of these cute extensions!

OK - I truly don't get the Canning and Freezing Forum: puttinup?
In the South when we can or freeze things we call it putting it up. EX: "I put up a dozen jars of tomatoes this year" Doesn't everyone call it that?
There is also a definition for canning/preserving called "putting food by" - there is even a book that uses that expression for its title.
Very interesting! Never heard that before. I call it canning or jarring.
lol...that's cause your a Yankee :) Southern speech is really very intresting if you study it. I've read several studies that have been done and as a whole we are some very very strange speaking people down here.
