I have had this vine for maybe 20 years. After the first year it never had another bloom...it did grow under the brick patio and act like a weed that I always had to remove. Now after all these years it has a bud !!! I will have to call this one sleeping beauty or rip van winkle....
Look what I found this morning...a bud on my passionflower..
Which passionvine is it? The bud is round like belotti.
LoL Margie, you sure are loyal and patient. 20 years is a long time to wait on a bloom. I hope it is spectacular for you!
I think it is just a common PF...if there is such a thing, flicker...lavendar and yellow...
kell...I actually wasn't waiting...I was trying to get rid of the thing and it kept spreading every place that I didn't want it to spread. Now it has a bud, actually 3 buds, all on the other side of the wood fence from where it was planted!!!
I will be sure to post a photo!
I live in the Deep South where these vines grow wild. They are all over my nonused pasture, which is, of course, full sun. Perhaps it wants full sun?
ms...I think you are right...the place it went to is the sunny side of the fence!
