MY GARDEN TRADE LIST WEBSITE IS:

I've just retired from teaching intellectually gifted elementary children, (retired from interior design a few years back, tho I sometimes still do a bit of work now & again). Currently I'm trying to have a "cottage garden" in mostly brightly colored perennials.
Just had a goldfish pool dug, which is a fun project to be working with. It fits in nicely in this Dixie setting, as I live nearby the Okatoma Swamp----even have my own alligator, affectionately known as "Al", in the backyard pond.
Painting murals is one of my favorite hobbies & I have many in my home. One is a New Orleans courtyard; another a European Flower Shop. The one in my Living Room is a stately Live Oak standing vigil across a gravel path near a wrought-iron gated cemetery!
I'm currently painting a tropical folding screen for a friend with Bird of Paradise, Banana trees, toucan, hummingbirds, frogs, etc. I'm contemplating selling hand-painted "tuxedo" shirts to wear with jeans (if I can figure where to market them). They look like fun & each can be different.
My "family" consists of a pair of Sheltland Sheepdogs & a brightly colored Sun Conure----they are my boon companions. My goldfish & I are not well acquainted as yet.
I do volunteer work in Northern Ireland during the summers, and now plan to do more in other countries (as soon as I learn a few more languages). Summer 2006 I'm volunteering in Wales (see why I need 'perennials'?) LOL
If you have any trips planned, I'd love to hear about them as well. I love to go to new places!
