Tomatoes: what does nt hybrid stand for

i have tried to search but haven't found anything this is in regard to tomato plants

Dave, could you give us some more information please? For instance, which tomato variety has this "nt"?

Dave, after some research I've come to the conclusion that this is nothing new. It's just a tomato that happens to show some resistance to nematodes and tobacco mosaic virus. The "N" and the "T" are just two of several other letters that are used to denote disease resistances. For instance V,F,F2,N,T are also used and probably a couple more. BTW, Tomato Growers has a tomato called Sugar Snack NT Hybrid and the "NT" refers to nematodes and tobacco mosiac virus. To tell you the truth, I've never seen just "NT" after a tomato name. I would have wondered exactly the same thing that you did. :)

thanks you hit the tomato even i kept seeing the nt and kept thinking is this a new type hybrid what were the doing now
