This is a beautiful iris but it is doing what is bad in the Iris world
and always dose . A clump Of ( OCTOBER SKY )
It bunches up and looks messy
It blooms to much down in the foliage

Bad case of IRIS ENVY here! 300 + tulips & daffodisl & lilacs & such , but only buds on a few iris....

Taszzy , you are the Iris Queen! I love Inferno Fire, Pup[py Love and Lady Friend , plus a lot of the others. do you happen to know this one? I have it marked as Wild Passion, which from the photo on Malevil's site it isn't. Amny ideas. It is a SD.

Tazzy you're old unknown from Apr 19th @ 9:54 is lovely. Such an elegant iris. And that October Sky is lovely....too bad it wants to hide all the time.

Susan could your SD be Stockholm? I bought Stockholm along with others, and my tags got mixed up. This is a photo of the one I THINK maybe Shockholm in my garden.

Tazzy I think you are right. I just noticed Susan's iris has ruffles on the edge of the falls, mine doesn't.

What beautiful iris, Tazzy!! Twyla, yours are just lovely, too! I kept writing down my favorites as I scrolled down the thread and I ran out of room on my sticky note. :-) I think This and That, Royal Gossip, Spring Twilight, Role Model and Fancy Woman are my favorites. Starr, I'm off to find your thread with your grandmother's iris!! Thanks for sharing your pictures -- they really make me smile.

After looking at every posting, every picture, every bloom, in this thread, I had to speak.

HOW DID YOU GET SO MANY BLOOMS? I have the two iris you gave me in my bog bucket. Been tending to them all winter way down here where it's warm and finally have 2 buds........not blooming yet though, but I am out there every few hours to check on them and talk really nice. Snowy has even been fertilizing with her saliva....she's been drinking the water in the bucket.

You are fantastic!!!! Can't wait for these blooms to open.

those i gave you love acid hit them with liguid azalia food and lots and lots of water / they feed all year heavy

This is why it is so hard to ID by pic,
Look at beards.
In garden you can see a diff, in hue but even in
a photo look at beards and hafts marking , that the line
or color around the beard . Oops i am teaching again .
