Hi,
We had a warm winter followed by a hard freeze in my area. Around 2 weeks ago I noticed that my plum
tree that usually blooms in april had already a few blooms. Now there are like 5 blooms on it but no more. Can
I expect it to go ahead and get more blooms after the weather consistently stays warm or is this going
to be a year without fruit? Thanks
Worrying over lack of blooms on plum/peach
I'm far from expert, but I would guess that the tree budded out early in the warm winter. The hard freeze probably killed the buds. So, possibly no (or just a few) fruit this year, but the good news is that this will not damage the tree for next year.
