I went to get my annual fix at Antonelli Brothers in Santa Cruz and this is what I saw..
News article at http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/archive/2005/March/09/local/stories/01local.htm
Short version - Fire destroyed the sales building on March 8. They are still in business and orders can be placed at their website http://antnelli.infopoint.com/ but no retail sales now.

Antonelli Brothers Begonia Gardens burns!
Oh my goodness, I love that place! My Mom and I went for the first time last year and purchased several begonias that are doing well and I was just thinking of calling her to see if she wanted to go again. The article was interesting for the history though.
Sad. I'll have to check their website (link you gave is off though)
Here' their link http://antnelli.infopoint.com/
I hadn't hear that it burned...I look at my purchases from there often and would have loved to have been able to visit them again. That is really too bad.
How heartbreaking. I've visited them many times over the years and was there just last year. I sure hope they are able to rebuild.
