Can you 'wear out' annuals? ;)

Spokane Valley, WA(Zone 5b)

I have some wax begonias and pelargonium hortorum that refuse to stop blooming. LOL I bought them almost a year ago and planted them in a flower bed, then brought them in for winter without even so much as a hiccup.

They're a bit leggy now, but still colorful. Will they 'wear out' if I don't take cuttings for another couple of months? I kinda need to conserve space for all the veggies I need to start...

Thanks!

No you can't wear them out. If you keep them deadheaded and actively growing with fertilizer, they will continue to bloom. When you are ready to take cuttings, the plants will be ready.

Thank you for your answer! I have only kept foliage plants indoors in the past, and am happy to know that I'm doing the right thing to preserve these for outdoor plantings again. :)
