Margie, Those are the only two old Botanical prints I have right now . I have a friend who goes to Europe and finds the old books of bound prints. I go thru them & pick one every year. His prices are a fraction of what you'd pay in a big city art store. Darn. I'd better slip over to see him this week.
These lithographs were all printed in black. The watercolors were added by hand before the books were bound. I can just see some Victorian lady laboriously adding the watercolor paints to the art by gaslight or candle.

Wow, Wanda - that would be a nice side-trip while attending the IA Roundup if I were coming from the East. *sigh*
heck--he's only a few miles away from me. I've tried to cconvince him to build a customer list & send scans of his newer art--no such luck. He just likes to putter & wait for people to drop in.
