Are Voo-Doo Lilies considered to be Lilies?

GeeMan - True lilies are in the genus Lilium. Voodoo lilies are in the genus Amorphophallus. So, it's not a TRUE lily but we're happy to have you here. There may be more knowledge about this plant in the Bulbs forum....

Ft. Lauderdale. hmm.... I bought one once. Grew it inside. babied, loved it, lots of TLC. When it bloomed it stank out the whole downstairs so one morning opened the door and threw it as far as I could.

In Victoria BC -zone 8 damp mediterranean - lots of people have them in their gardens for the leaves, cutting off any bloom as soon as they see it.

If you want big lily like plants, try the very tall white arum.

No, I would like to though. Kind of new to gardening. A friend gave me a cutting of this Voodoo Liliy and I was trying to find more info on it. It's taking off like crazy!
