Does anyone know of any "Seed Packaging" software where you can label, Identify, print, fold, and seal into standard size for seed storage and mailing? I'd like to be able to do something like this with my PC.
Seed Package Printing Software?
There is a page of seed packets at http://davesgarden.com/files/seedpackets/ . I have modified one of those available to look like http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1087632
HTH!
LOL, we had just been discussing this on the Seed Trading forum. here's my post:
... so: the webpage they're on is: [HYPERLINK@webpages.charter.net]
and the ones that start with SeedPack are the skinny/long, and the SeedRegular are the shorter/fatter ones. The ones that start with Veggie have vegetable pix, the Herb ones have herbs on them, the ones that say Frame just have a pretty frame around them instead of a picture. LOL, I had a good time playing with these!
Anyway, feel free to save/print/modify/whatever them. The SeedPackBasic is a blank skinny/long, and SeedRegularBasic is a blank shorter/fatter, so you can add your own artwork if you want.
I checked them all out, and they look odd at first, but when they print up, each .jpg takes up one full page, with all lines and artwork, so don't worry, it'll work out perfectly!
glad I could share these with you, thanks for giving me this opportunity!
(If anyone wants/knows how to link these to Dave's Garden, I'd be thrilled to have them available to anyone who wants to use them.)

Are you looking for a software/hardware package that will, when inserting seeds, identify them, print an appropriate envelope, fold it for you, insert the seeds, and then seal the envelope? Then I have just the site for you! Go to http://make_it_simple.com
It might even do the mailers for you and mail it too, I can't remember!
No, just kidding, of course..
like dstartz said daves garden had many templates to use.
I am now using my printer to print right on a white coin envelope, saving all the cutting.
Another way would be to use the plastic ziplocks, 2x2, 2.25x3.25, and just print an insert
for them.
Very nice indeed. Why can't i get the link to work?
dstarz how did you personilize your seed packs with your information on it? Cathy
kayaker & langbr - I love your seed packets. They look so professional!
Those are wonderful, I'll have to figure out how to do that this winter when the snow is flying. This year, mine will be hand written, some I have used address labels to type the names on, but you have to print a whole page. Thanks for the information. Cathy
Oh, these are great you guys! I can only imagine being able to be so organized! Of course I'm attempting it and can't get the printer working. Likewise I will have to work on it this winter. Wow, great jobs!
kayaker - what software do you do yours in? I just use good ole Microsoft Word for mine.
