I was absolutely FLOORED to find this blooming today.

It has a wonderful fragrance :)

I'm a species snob when it comes to lilies, I just can't think how one can improve on the 'real' thing. I'm growing these from seed so hopefully I'll have them flowering next year, is that how you grew them? I understand they don't take very well when they are planted as bulbs.

These were planted as bulbs. I planted 4 bulbs at the beginning of September. I think there are two of them growing here. I have grown from seed also, now if I can just remember where I planted those.......

Baa where can I get some seeds?

Wow, Sue! That's a beauty! I keep wanting to get forosanum, but instead got rubrum, martagon, pardalinum and some Mrs. R.O. Backhouse martagon. Next year! I've heard the formosanum smell divine.

I just purchased some seeds from Ebay, Filopine Lilly ( Lily Forosanum) hope I have luck with them.

Kooger, I don't think that they will survive in our zones. If I remember right I think that they say zone 8 or higher.

I'm old enough to move (been getting Senior Citizen lieterature for 5 years now...), but my garden won't cooperate. Guess I'll just stay here and hibernate thru the winter....

I was up volunteering at the high school Library on Thursday when the Theatre Director tapped me. Seems they need several 18 th century gowns & robes finsished in a few weeks for "The Three Musketeers". Will I ever learn to say no? My daughter is not even in this play. Oh well, been sewing costumes for plays since I was at that school ages ago.

My grandaughter asked me not too long ago if there was tv's back in the 'olden days' when I was young... I almost choked... lol... I told her: yep, baby, there was tv's... but just barely... :)) .. She is 10, Bless her, I don't think she could even visualzie the world we grew up in...
