Saving echinacea seeds
Natasha. . .this link (pdf) on pg. 2 shows some detail of seed head and explanation. .maybe you can compare what you've separated out with that image. . .?? Sorry can't be of more help. .

Thanks so much, jcangemi. I think I might have tried to get the seeds too early - the cone wasn't as full looking as this one. That would explain why nothing looks very seedy :

Thanks, Robin, that is my plant, but there aren't any seed pics of the Magnus and the "plain" E.purpurea seeds didn't look like what I have. I think I tried to harvest them too soon :>(
