Why must I always learn the hard way??? Do NOT dry seeds on ribbed paper towels - takes forever to get those sucker OFF once they've dried. Gary Ibsen, The Great Tomato Book, suggests coffee filters...works MUCH better!.
Word of advice...
That happened to me once also. Try paperplates too, they work. Good tip about the coffee filters.
Another TIP: DO NOT DRY SEEDS IN MICROWAVE! one seed trader dried all her seeds in the microwave, she thought, Dry is Dry, and ruined all her seed.
Eeek! Fortunately I never thought of that ~:-) ! I put mine on the filters (or paper plates) and place them in a cupboard. Used to leave them out on the DR table and kitchen counters, but got tired of comments from visitors.... (Also lived in fear of the furbabies making an unexpected visit onto a table or counter!)
