here is a site up in canada for you. for us u.s.a. folks there is an additional $10 fee added to the shipping costs for our government.
a lot of the lilies appear to be canadian bred. all but one of the orienpets are by dr. wilbert ronald who hybridizes lilies.

canadian lilium sellers plantlilies.com
Great site, Debi. Bookmarked it and will probably order from them next year. I pooled an order with 3 other DG members from The Lily Nook in Manitoba. I'm really anxious to see some of these. It seems like there's a much wider selection of lily bulbs from Canadian suppliers. Has anyone else noticed that?
Yep, I say we start runnin' borders after dark... >:)
After just having an iris order stuck in Canada customs for 10 days I'm determined to find somebody who lives just across the border for future shipments from US, or rent a P.O. box from the nearest US town to the border.
Don't think I'd do a midnight border run. Probably have infrared motion detectors by now - on the borders. Things used to be so much easier.
Lily Nook does have the most wonderful lilies and very hardy. Manitoba is zone 3 usually.
Inanda who lives in Manitoba but enjoys the snow and no armadillos, wicked spiders & snakes etc.
Most of my first lilies come from plantlilies.com. I found them initially as Valley K. Great place to buy lilies, and great people to deal with. Lynnette Westfall is very helpful with questions and generous to boot. I've only ordered last year from Lily Nook, but the Dalhansonii they sent me bloomed this year already, which was impressive. We have the best lily growers in western Canada, and I'm not too humble to say so. At least for those of us in the 'freeze your toes' off zones.
Great site.

Please take me with you, when you will cross the border in the dark. ; >)
Sure thing. I'll just pick you up on the way!
Met with Echoes at the Winnipeg Conservatory Friday afternoon. Spent rest of day bagging lilies for our MRLS bulb sale - in a terribly hot greenhouse. Wonderful lilies. We both scored Martagon Album, as well as some others from Lily Nook & Valley K.
Saturday we were behind the table selling bulk lilies ($1, $2 & $3) and baggies of stem seedlings. Great day but oh so tiring. Great fun to catch up with/meet other internet lilium & Coldzone friends. Glad it's all over now.
Sunday afternoon packed up all unsold bulbs for sales in Brandon & Dauphin next weekend. {get your atlases out} .
On Sunday called our bulk table "The Orphanage" and implored people to 'adopt an orphan'. Great fun.
Was thrilled to meet Lynn Collicut from the Morden Research Station who had hybrisdized some wonderful lilies too.
I also bought a couple of new (to me) echevaria and a lewisia. Can't rememberr what non-lilium perennials Echoes bought.
Next HUGE lilium effort here in Manitoba is the NALS convention here next July. We have to try to outdo the Minnesota and St. Louis conventions.
Wonderful weather. time to start potting up everything from garden that has to live inside. We will get a frost one of these days.
Wonder what you ordered from Lily Nook in your US group order.
Inanda, off to have brekkie.
Good morning, Ginny!
Sounds like you had a great weekend!! I wish we had such events near me. *sigh*
Here's the complete list of what was ordered by 4 of us U.S. DG'ers from the Lily Nook. Should be getting the order in about 10-14 days I think. I can't wait.
Aphrodite
Black Jack
Centerfold
Kansas
Lady Elberta
Latvia
Marribelle
Monet
Pasteur
Philos
Pink Pagoda
Shirley
Lavendel
Iceberg
Kiss Me Kate
Modern Style
Royal present
Royal river
Royal Sunset
Suncrest
Red Dutch
Nepalense
Amethyst Temple
The order was Mary (aka Moby), Alice (aknapp), Maxine and myself. With the exchange rate at about 75 cents on the Canadian dollar I think we made out like bandits even WITH the phyto cert. of $15! I think I'll be looking at some of their Orientals next Spring as they don't sell them in the Fall.
Brenda (on my 3rd cup of coffee)
what a fab list. Whoever ordered Napalense should read up on it. Quite a wanderer. Once had the stem exit from bottom of pot. give it lots of room - large pot - The exchange really benefits you, doesn't it.
Am running out of room here. Have to dig more grass.
Yum
Cheers Inanda
That was Maxine with the Nepalense. She always gets the exotic!! LOL
Brenda, contact me in the spring when you put orders together. Right now I am in Idaho visiting Ponditius. I have been looking for lily bulbs since we left Wisc. on Sept. 13th. Haven't found a lily bulb yet. Lani and us have been having a ball visiting nurseries, but dang!! I can't take home many plants as they won't root well before our winter sets in. Daughter said we had our first frost on Oct. 1st. Kinda late for us for the first frost. Nurseries have been having sales from 50% to 70% off.
Maxine
I surely will Maxine. Hope you're having a good trip. When do you get back to WI? Lily Nook order should be on it's way to you early next week and the Lily Garden coop orders are suppose to start shipping this week.
