I have a lantana setting many seeds and was wondering what the best way to harvest them. They turn black and mushy and then crinkle up, Im wondering how many Ive lost tho since they fall off so easy at that point. HELP.
Best way to harvest lantana seeds?
I think I found my answer.

Dravencat, please be very carfeul on handling Lantana. I read somewhere that all components of this plant are extremely poisoneous and can destroy people/animal livers in a matter of days.
Ursula,
After a quick search on the 'Net I see that it is primarily if it is ingested. There are some skin irritation notations, as well. The place you might have read a warning about it is http://davesgarden.com/pdb/go/578.html .
Hope this helps,
Donna
7 different Lantanas and counting
Thanks guys, I make sure to put them up where the 4 yo and dogs cant get to them and wash my hands well after I pick them. Eating them? Well they dont look very appetizing, LOL. I usually assume any plant is poisonous if ingested or when handled, even if just mildly so I have more than just dirty hands as a reason to wash well after Im done in the garden. Lantana also has small thorn/thorn like protrusions so that gives me another reason to handle carefuly.
