Wow Lily, they look great. What do your neighbors think of tropicals in zone 3?
Thanks Cala!! I've had a few drop by and their eyes light up....I've tried to discourage many because hail did such a job on the larger leafed plants. Will invite some that have been chomping on the bit in a week or two.....Blue Butterfly has side shoots with buds coming all over so should be putting on a gorgeous show very soon. :D
The yellow is a Trollius, probably a hybrid Globeflower, cause they have more open flowers. Maybe Goldquelle like in Lois Holes book.
I just love pink lilies the best. I especially like the first one. Gorgeous.

beautiful pam. tell more about the blue butterfly.
Lilypon, your garden is great. That varigated brug should have buds on it for you now. Linda
Thanks Lynn! My C. Ungandense is about a four foot tall bush with the branches starting just a few inches above the soil. Each branch had a large cluster of about @ least 75 blooms. They are almost finished now but along every branch new growth has popped up all over and each of those has a large bud cluster. :D
I hope so Linda! I've seen buds start on a few others but haven't spotted them yet on this one. Many of my older larger Brugs prob. won't have blooms this summer. When out last frost was forecasted July 15th I didn't bring the two largest home from work until after that date. :(
What a year for crazy weather. Just to underline that, we've go maple trees starting to turn red and it's ot yet the middle of August!!
I believe it....I've noticed trees are dropping more dried up leaves lately here but no change of color yet.
Lynn besides it's growth habits that I mentioned above I should also say it's branches droop quite a bit. I've got it in a second pot with a couple of bricks to weigh it down and I've set in all on top of a birdbath so that the branchs can hang down.
Yep Pam, your multiflora has a bloom stem :)
Yipee!! Thanks Milan! What a wonderful surprise! :D
