I had these two bulb sections sprout in the house, so I planted them out in the garden last year. Well I let them go to seed-the flowers were huge and gorgeous-and now they're done. Can I seperate them now and re-plant them? Or do I need to wait for fall? Check out how huge they are!
Anyone know about Elephant Ear Garlic?
I only know they are not a real garlic, but actually in the leek family.
However, since I have successfully planted both leeks and garlic this time of year, I don't see why you couldn't also even though you are a zone warmer.
Wow! Thanks darius! How are you?
I think I will keep and bake one, there are tons of bulblets-and plan on keeping and storing a few next year. OK, back off I go to replant these! I am also going to plant the seeds as well! I assume those might take a little longer than a year to mature?
Dunno... I never planted the seeds from my garlic. The larger the clove you plant, the larger the bulb you will get.
I'm doin' okay for someone long in the tooth, Thanks!
