I have pink fringed poppy & Coreopsis tinctoria seeds I collected this year. Can they be sowed now for next year or do they need a winter stratification? Also is Pink fringed poppy hardy in PA, zone 6? Thanks.
Starting seeds now???
What I do with the poppy seeds is either winter sow them, or sprinkle the seeds right on top of the snow in February. When the snow melts it puts the seeds on top of the soil, they need light to germinate, don't cover poppy seeds with soil. They then germinate in the spring. I think your poppy is an annual, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I also love poppy's. I will have some Laurens grape poppy seeds soon if you want any. Cathy
Sure would like some of those. Do you want to trade? Thanks, Judy Showers (Buttoneer)
Judy, email me your address, when there ready I drop some in the mail to you. Not looking for any seeds right now. Thanks, Cathy
