Does anyone know this one?

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

This beauty came in one of my DG trading packs last year. It is sooo lovely. Does anyone know the name so I can mark it?

This lovely baby came with another trade. I lost the name. Come on Lily people, give a clue to the "clueless"!

Is it a peach? Might be Tiger Babies.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

The second one is definitely peach . the first is a pale yellow with darker yellow center. Both have the tiger lily dots on them.

It's the second one that I think is Tiger Babies. I love it and have grown it for years.

Good! Love to put a name on it so I can talk to it on my garden walks. (Yes, I AM crazy!)

Wow Wanda! They are beautiful. Have you ever tried hybridizing with lilies?

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

I can't take credit for these, some wonderful DG traders included them in my iris packs last year. I popped them in the ground & they bloomed this year. I'm in love! MUST HAVE MORE LILIES< MUST HAVE MORE LILIES< I haven't tried hybridizing ANYTHING in my gardens yet. Maybe in a few years when I have enough to be creative.

I am feeling a bit bored so thought I'd do a little surfing back into yesteryear (or 2). I think #1 is "King Pete". I grew it for several years. The blooms face straight out on this one.

Wanda; the first one looks like one I gave you a couple of years ago when I moved that clump. But I don't know what it is for sure. I think it came in a Wal-Mart pack of lily bulbs, if it's the same one.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Linda, the one you gave me bloomed in the Nessie bed. The bloom matches this one down by the garage side of the house in the back row. I broke off the blooms & they match exactly . The garage one is labeled King Pete. I bought it as part of a "tigerlily" collection. Those dutch bulb companies throw terms around lightly. My "red tiger lily" is mostly asiatic and short.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5b)

So the one I have is King Pete? I moved that clump from out front to the west side of the house. When I did, I gave you part of it and moved part of it. The darn thing still keeps sending up babies in front though. I had one bloom there this spring. When the weather breaks, I'm going to dig it up and give it to Lisa. Prolific and tough one. Linda

it is tough! Another instance when I bought something I already had unnamed in my bed. it's happened before and it will happen again--especially with all the mis named lilies I have purchased in the past few years. Will I ever get them all sorted out?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Wanda, you are a true plantaholic. I just want to know, for the record, how many irises and how many lilies you have, lol?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Why don't you ask her about the daylilies, too? ;)

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

LOL. We need a thread of Wanda's flowers.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Moby, are you giving this poor old garden addict a hard time???

Lilies--Do we count the ones I planted, the ones that came up , the ones the bunnies ate or the ones that actually bloomed??? 132 different cultivars plus a dozen seedlings

Iris--- I have 314 Dwarfs, Intermediate and Tall Bearded cultivars + several colors of Siberians and some Japanese & Louisiana I'm tryiong to kill.

Dayliles? I'm down to 347 different cultivar/clumps , but I'm removing 6 soon to replace.

And a few hundred perennials, flowering bushes, hosta and such. And I still have room for grass???

Why are you trying to kill your Siberians and Japanese?

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

I'm not really trying to kill them--they just hate the places I plant them! Some make it & some die. I'm too lazy to water them daily.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

so, you call yourself lazy while you are digging, boxing and shipping about a zillion iris rhizomes? I dug 2 groups of daylillies yesterday, lol.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Oh yeah, Wanda's real lazy. I bet she even has the nerve to sleep all of 4 hours at night.....

It would take me a month to do what she does in a day.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Hey, I laid in my hammock and read a book in the garden for 2 hours last night. It was glorious....
