Can you say....?

Poor Pathetic Pepper Plants 3 times fast?

In the middle row there is (left to right) a rotundra pepper, plain old bell pepper, chive, jalapeno pepper, chives and then another plain old bell.

The bells were started from seed 2 months ago. They look great! The rotundra and jalapeno were bought from a local grower and put in the ground 3 1/2 months ago. Why are they so darn pathetic? They have grown about 3-4 inches!

I have 6 more plain old bells from seed that will be ready to go outside later in the year. Guess that we will have to wait for our winter crop!

I have to add that it just recently started staying above 60 at night. And now we have June Gloom so it is cloudy and hovering around 65-70 during the day.

Could someone send me some rain to match the 'look' of the weather?

daisy, my peppers take off in the fall and early winter. Be patient with them and you may yet be rewarded.

I bet a drink of compost tea would wake them up. Mulch around them with compost and every time you water them they will be fed. The yellow leaves look like they need some nitrogen. Compost has everything in it.
