(I tried this in the 'Saving Seeds' forum with no takers...)
I have some 'Flore Pleno' paeonies that I would love to propagate by seed, but the seed pods never mature. Same with a simple P. officinalis which I grew from seed around eight years ago.
Does anyone have any idea how I would encourage their seed pods to mature?
Any help much appreciated...
Paeony seeds...
Maybe they aren't getting pollinated? I'd try to pollinate them by hand and see if that helps....
This page looks like it will explain how http://www.bbpeony.com/Hybridizeandgrowpeonyseeds.htm
To Poppysue,
Have you been to BB's in Yarmouth ?

That's a very useful page. Thanks - I'll try it this year when the buds open.
