Hi Dana, Mimidi, and cute little doggy. It looks like he wants to come outside and play.

It looks like that is a Jasminum polyanthum, also called winter jasmine and pink jasmine. It is an easy vine to care for and has flowers which have a strong fragrance when in bloom. I would recommend keeping it outdoors as long as possible and then bring it indoors when temperatures drop below 45. It needs a seasonal drop of 18 degrees in temperature to bloom in the wintertime. See this link: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/botan/feat_plant/jasminum/jas.html and this one: http://plantsdatabase.com/go/1639/index.html

If you can keep it outdoors all year long in a protected area, it and you will be the happiest. I think that, if you do get it to bloom indoors, the fragrance will be too strong for your liking.

That is one "fragrant" plant. They have them at Home Depot and Lowes and they dooooo put out a strong smell, not bad, but a lot!
