I just planted a greenhouse grown Hellebore. The pup knocked a small 3-branch stem off its side, and since it showed a bit of root I plopped it in a cup of water with a baby aspirin to see what would happen.
It put out two more roots, but the leaves started to droop. I've potted it up, but I really have no idea if I'm doing the right thing or not. I'm a newbie to hellebore, and an even bigger newbie when it comes to propagation. Will this shoot take?
Rooting Hellebore?
According to my propagation bible (Creative Propagation by Peter Thompson), Helleborus cannot be propagated by cuttings...
But you seem to be getting on great...
Keep at it!!!
Mike
