I've read that it can be done and I have some dwarf Crab Apples that would make excellent rootstocks. Any Experience or observations?
Any Experience With Rooting Apple Cuttings?
I did by accident once....does that count???
I used a twig/branch I had just pruned off the tree as a marker for where I had just planted some bulbs, when spring rolled around and the bulbs came up I tried to pull the twig only to discover it had a nice good firm root sytem. I dug it up and it is now (3 yrs later) about 4 ft tall and in bloom :-)
