I NEED a list of different fruit trees (preferribly miniatures)
that I can grow in my new coastal home at Myrtle Beach
South Carolina.
I once saw a lemon tree that the lady said was Indian, and
it had HUGE lemons on the little tree. I would like to know
what (small) fruit trees will grow and produce WELL in the
salty air zone I am moving to this coming month.
East Coast Fruit Trees for Condo Gardening
Hmmm...Meyer Lemon Improved produces some very good-sized lemons and is also hardy.
The only other "lemon" that I know of that is huge would be a "Ponderosa" lemon, which is a cross between a citron and a lemon. (I don't know if they are hardy in your new zone tho.)
Thank you SO MUCH I will look into those ASAP!
What about orange and avacado trees? I know I am near Florida, don't they grow in SC too, or is the soil too sandy? Maybe I could CONTAINER some.
