Raised Beds Questions/Suggestions Please

DH and I have decided (more me than him) to put in raised beds for our veggie garden. The soil is just too rocky and it would take years to get all the rocks out. Anyway I've been doing some reading and learning but I'm ready to seek your personal experience and expertise on this issue.

1. Not suppose to use treated lumber. True? Well, we can't afford cedar so what's left?

2. Can I use newspaper as a layer between the existing soil and new garden soil?

3. I'll be getting a truckload (I hope) of screened garden soil from a local landscaping company. Do you think I'll still have to mix stuff with it? Boy would that be a job.

4. What did you use for the corners?

5. Lastly, how deep did any of you make your raised beds. More than 6"?
