Some Neat Resources

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

You all got me thinking, so I did a little research. Here are some sites with great ideas on gardening with disabilities. There are some great sites out there! Some sites are geared toward those who are trained to provide horticultural therapy, others offer products to make gardening more accessible, and others are just from the perspective of gardeners with disabilities.

American Horticultural Therapy Association: http://www.ahta.org/index.html

Horticulture for All: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Jane_Stoneham/

This is a commercial site, but they have some good ideas for raised beds and such: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1243587898

Vertical wall gardens and other ideas: http://members.aol.com/netgarden2/ability.html

Planters, Containers and Raised Beds for Accessible Gardening: http://www.ext.vt.edu/departments/envirohort/articles/lawns_and_landscaping/accesgar.html

The Unlimited Garden - includes interesting info for visually challenged gardeners: http://www.ext.vt.edu/departments/envirohort/articles2/unlimit.html

Accessible Gardening - exerpt from what looks like a neat book. Includes illustrations: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Jane_Stoneham/raised.htm

That's just a sampling! I had no idea there were so many neat sites out there. What online (or offline) resources have you found?
