I would love to have cuttings of hardy figs to root and grow. I live in Louisville, Kentucky and need to consider growing any hardy types of fig bushes for my area. I would plan to pot and overwinter in my garage the first several winters.
I remember as a child playing under the canopy of a huge fig my Grandmother grew on her farm in SC; it was like being in another world.

Wanted Hardy Fig Cuttings
If some of mine come back strong I'll be sure to root you some, Gary. (Rabbits whittled on some this year. First time I ever saw that!)
What zones must you be in, to have figs grow outdoors all year?
skyblu, some types will grow in your zone 6. I've noticed the zoning is usually 6-9 for quite a few types.
Check out www.eat-it.com for some good info on various types of figs. I heartily recommend them.
Thanks for the link, Shoe. I plan to check it out. I guess it is about springtime in Carolina. That makes music to my ears! Hope all is well with you and yours.
