Apple Trees

Bradford, RI(Zone 5b)

My neighbor has been asking me to find where he might purchase McCoun? Apple trees. I've looked in all my catalogs and I'm not even sure this is how you spell it, but I still find nothing. Is this tree licensed, patented or what? I need an education about this tree. Also, if there is somewhere they can be purchased.

Macoun is available from Miller Nurseries. http://www.millernurseries.com/
It is an improved McIntosh.

Louisville, KY

Big Horse Creek Farm in North Carolina grows and sells Heirloom Apple Trees and at a very reasonable cost. You may want to have your friend check the site below for something he might like.

Thank you Farmerdill for the info.. I'm sending my neighbor right away. VGMKY, I didn't find Macoun at that web site, but will send my neighbor so he might get a good education before he selects. Thank you all.

nanstorm, I found two other mailorder sources that carry 'Macoun' - your neighbor might want to check them out, in addition to Miller's:
