I can't believe it's barely past Christmas and I'm back to thinking about my garden. I have a neighbor who has this beautiful holly. It's varigated, I didn't see any berries, it is about 6' high and quite dense, and has pointy, shiny leaves. It has a western exposure which, in this climate, means hot and intense sun. The owner doesn't know anything about the bush since they didn't plant it themselves. She said it doesn't seem to be bothered by the summer sun. I have just the place for such a bush but can't figure out which holly it is. Any input?? Thanks!
varigated holly
I grew one in my last garden and think it must have been one of the aquifolium varieties. Hardly any berries to speak of. It too was exposed to the hot afternoon sun but needed regular watering to minimise leaf drop.
