how do i germinate them, help please
southern magnolia seeds
Their seeds can have short viability and hate drying out so it's best to sow them now when fresh as soon as they fall from the pods of while still attached. I'm not sure if your winters are cold enough for sowing in pots and leaving outdoors as people would do here. You might have to put them in sand and into the fridge to break their dormancy and let the pulp rot off. You could remove the seed flesh before planting them
thank you so much mark. this article was great.
