Hope someone can help me with my gooseberry. I've had it for about 5 years and have yet to get one berry off of it. It's just huge, so I know I don't need to give it fertilizer. It blooms profusely in the spring, then phphttt--nothing!! Not even the start of a berry. In the later summer for the past two years the grasshoppers have gotten the leaves, but it didn't have berries when there were leaves anyway. What am I doing wrong?? Does it need another plant to pollinate?
Thanks
Ruth
Darn Gooseberry!!
Probably. Growing up we had gooseberries and some of them never bore fruit. I'm also in 4B. Are you planning on coming to the Ia RU? Check out the forum!
Thanks, kooger!!
