Sunlit whiskers

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

After weighing a dormouse today and putting her back in her box, she decided to be nosey and see if we'd gone. As she peeped out of her box a shaft of autumn sunlight caught her whiskers. It's amazing how long they are!

If you could only see me, with all the paraphernalia - bags, scales, clipboard etc etc it's a miracle I manage to get any pics. The number I would love to take and miss is heartbreaking, so it's lovely to know that you enjoy them, thanks :)

Beatyfull shot and so cute. Must be difficult to get a pic because of there shyness. Are'nt they mostly busy at nights?

Thanks saya
You're right they are nocturnal in the main, though sometimes spotted in hedges in daylight. I think they sleep with one ear open LOL and move from their nest if they hear something crashing through the undergrowth ;)
