Concorde visited N Ireland on Tuesday and spent from 11am to 5pm sitting where lots of people could see it. It's take off at 4pm was delayed for an hour because of a technical fault. I took the staff up to see it take off. What a sight to be below it. The roar set 12s of car alarms off. All roads in the area were blocked by traffic. I got a rollocking for being irresponsible for taking the staff up to the airport instead of being stuck inside packing orders. It was worth it.
Concorde
a brownie point for you then Mark and a dusty bin point for your boss! ;)
I wish I could have seen concorde too but it wasnt anywhere near me :((
Good on you Mark.I've been inside it( whilst it was standing I hasten to add)it was titchy inside. I thought it was going to be huge, I couldn't have flown in it, it would have been too claustraphobic for me.
Used to go to airports with my brother just to watch planes in my youth, loved to feeling of power as they took off, especially fighter planes with the flames coming out the back, awesome.
