Been looking all around for yew bushes for a 100 foot
hedge. None of the local nurseries have much - just
large bushes and only one or two. As there are lots
of these plants in the area - have you ever heard
of anyone propagating these by cuttings?
Am I nuts or what?
Yew again
Roxroe, I had to look this up cos' I didnt know what it was, but when I was reading about it, says if you have cattle, horses, or any kind of animal that would be prone to eat this type plant, goats..etc...its very toxic and poisoness. Does things to slow the heart down...it was SCARY lol
Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents worth in lol...for whatever it means. :-)

Well - I knew this about yew however I live
on a half acre in the middle of a smallish city
here in VA. Livestock not allowed in the city limits
All I have are cats who as far as I can tell don't
eat shrubs.
This is a very common shrub here I cannot imagine
why I am having such a hard time finding them....
My better half said he wanted an evergreen hedge -
no thorns = yew.
Thanks for the info...I will keep it on file
your most welcome...:-)
