HELIATROPE - I read about cutting off the fluffy heads of the flowers, because the seeds are micro tiny. Will they dry and keep all winter to be planted in the spring? Is now the best time to cut the heads off for seeds?

Here's a link from the plants database that may help.

I had the perennial white heliotrope for several years. I let it go to seed. It seemed like I would have them pop up here and there, but not in massive amounts. Last year, after not seeing any of them come up the year before, I had a small group of them show up. I like this perennial because it blooms for a long time and smells so good.
