I have had good luck with sowing seed the Deno way. My question is, do I cover up the top of the root, or just the the bottom. I look at that little root and I'm just amazed. It's also a lot cleaner than messing with dirt!
Deno Propagation
I plant the so the root is going down and the seed is just barely covered with soil. The plant will know what to do after that. If you let them stay in the paper towel too long sometimes the seed leaves will already be out of the seed. If that's the case... I make sure it's covered with soil up to the stem and the leaves will start turning up to the light and greening up.
I do the same as PoppySue.
