not sure which is the correct spelling but does anyone know a source for this variety?
gerber or garber pear
It's 'Garber'.
Don't know of a source off the top of my head, but cruise the online nursery catalogs linked at the NAFES website - www.nafex.org - some of the ones located in the Southeast are most likely to have it.
I don't have that one, or I'd offer you scionwood.
maybe the reason u do not find it is cuz accdg to this link http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/home/update/HUOCT95.pdf Garber Pear is recommended for Zone 5-6.
i tried the www but to no avail can i find a source. sorry :(
Good Luck!
