Orchid Irises

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

I just saw these in a catolog tonight. They look neat. Has anyone tried them? What are you thoughts about them?

Alyssum, do they give a Latin name for them?

I love the pictures in the link. Last year I planted some Dutch Iris that were spectacular, and might try some of these orchid iris next year.

Thanks for the link. Iris h. are new to me. They seem similar to the Dutch Iris, which are easy and very early. They did not return for me, however. I think the I. h. look beautiful and unusual, and well worth trying. John

I have the katherine hodgkin they preformed beautifly. I planted last fall and they bloomed this spring. Came through zone 6 winter with flying colors.
